Developments: Progress on digitalisation
EAEA’s member in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Adult Education Association (ГО "Центр "Европейское образование взрослых) has experienced a successful 2019, in which the situation of adult education has slightly improved. There have been important policy changes in the country, including a new policy on digitalisation and one on innovation, which specifically promotes online learning for children and youth.
The funding for adult education has stayed the same. Upskilling Pathways and the sustainable development goals have been implemented in some areas in Ukraine. The European Pillar of Social rights plays an important role for adult learning and education in Ukraine and EAEA’s member was involved in a civil society consultation process. The report of the European Semester mirrors the organisation'a experience of adult learning and education on the ground.
